Day 1
Kick-off in Historic Bordeaux Center

Highlights:

Jean Pierre gives a Bordeaux Wine TourOne of France's most prominent wine négociants, Jean-Pierre Rousseau is tonight’s guest of honor. Over a festive glass or two of champagne, he will kick off your Bordeaux Wine Tour giving you his insights on the world of French Wine, and Bordeaux in particular. Then you are off to a fantastic eight wine dinner that Jean-Pierre has arranged at one of his favorite Bordeaux restaurants.

Day 2
Grands Vins of the Right Bank

Highlights:         

Wine Tasting Tour. Château Cheval BlancStart with Cheval Blanc and Clos Fourtet! Richard Dubois is Master of Ceremonies today, starting with visits to these two archetypes of Bordeaux’s right bank, two of St Emilion’s Grand Cru Classé wineries. At lunch, enjoy Florence Fagard’s traditional ‘repas paysan’ at gold medal Château de Cornemps. The wine cellar sits alongside a 13th century Romanesque church. After lunch, Richard leads a wine tasting of his Orisse du Casse, Artemis, and P. du Roy at Château Bertinat Lartigue.

Day 3
Pomerol and Petits Châteaux

Highlights:         

Château la Cabanne Pomerol, BordeuaxToday’s outing in the Right Bank begins with an optional guided tour of St Emilion. Famous not only for its wine, St Emilion’s history goes back over 1,200 years. Medieval alleyways crisscross above the ancient caves and catacombs. St Emilion’s unique underground church is carved out of a single piece of rock. Visit St Emilion’s wine boutiques before heading off to Château la Cabanne for a delicious meal highlighted with a special old vintage red. Eye-opening wine tours to Château Garraud and Château Barbe Blanche this afternoon, then you are back in Bordeaux in time for a free evening of exploration, window-shopping, or a world of culinary delights.

Day 4
Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes with the André Lurton Family

Highlights:

He's with you today as you tour Bordeaux's southern reaches of Pessac-Léognan, Graves, and an unforgettable visit to Château D’Yquem, the Emperor of Sauternes. At lunch, dine at historic National Monument Château La Louvière. The Lurtons invite you to two more of their leading domains before a relaxing evening in Bordeaux.

Day 5
The Haut Medoc

Highlights:         

Wine Tasting Tour. Château Mouton RothschildTwo of the Five Premier Grand Crus Classés kick off today’s agenda – first you'll enjoy a wine tasting tour of Château Margaux, where you will also discover the ins and outs of oak barrel making. Then you are tasting wine and touring Château Mouton Rothschild. After a delicious lunch at no less than St Julien’s Château Lagrange, Château Lynch-Bages welcomes you for an enlightening visit and wine tasting. Look forward to a to-die-for dinner back in Bordeaux this evening.

Day 6
Grand Finale in the Haut Medoc with Vincent Fabre & the Lucien Lurton Family

Highlights:         

Great food with great winesEnjoy some free time this morning. Take advantage of a walking tour of Bordeaux’s historical district, or enjoy a restful morning shopping or simply sleeping in. Later this morning, Vincent Fabre and the Lucien Lurton family are today’s insider connections to the Haut Médoc. You can’t beat lunch at Château Lamothe-Cissac and an extraordinary dinner at Château Brane-Cantenac. Sprinkle in a couple more visits to Château Haut-Bages Libéral and Château Durfort-Vivens and you have the grand finale of our Bordeaux wine tour together.

Day 7

Medoc Wine Tasting. Claire and François Villars.Your Bordeaux tour ends today after breakfast, so we bid you goodbye and plan to see you again in Burgundy, Champagne, Provence, or Tuscany.
