Next you ’re headed north through Givry and Mercurey with lunch at a local favorite in charming medieval Rully. We’ll have a great selection of wines here, especially the whites. As Alfio likes to say, “a great Rully is like a Puligny-Montrachet that you can drink every day”. We’re in for a treat with some great Crémant de Bourgogne too. Rully is where Burgundy made its first sparkling wines in the 18th century. On our way to Beaune, we’ll go through the famous vineyards of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard.
