We're joining our culinary passion and resources with Raymond Campet in an exciting culinary wine tour of Burgundy & Champagne. Born, raised, and trained as a chef in France, Raymond became the Maitre d’ of the French Ambassador in Washington, D.C. in 1971. Raymond opened La Côte D’Or Café in 1992 and has consistently won awards ever since.
You'll have a lot of fun traveling with Raymond, gaining insight to the secrets behind great dining experiences. Day 1
Paris
Highlights:

Your are right in the center of Paris. Grab a flute of champagne and join your travel companions in a grand celebratory toast to your fabulous week of wine tasting and fine dining. You'll love dinner tonight, it's at one of Raymond's favorite Parisian Bistrots.
Day 2
Champagne - La Route des Grands Crus du Champagne
Highlights:

- Dinner - At a local favorite in Reims
Today is an excellent introduction to the festive wines of Champagne. After today you will master the complexities of champagne production and decipher any wine list with ease. Today’s visits and tastings include Montaudon, George Vesselle, and Pommery. Benoit Marquet is your local expert through the hills and vineyards along ‘La route des Grands Crus du Champagne’, Champagne’s breathtaking wine route. The champagne keeps flowing at tonight's dinner at one of Benoit's favorites.
Day 3
Champagne - Reims
Highlights:

- Town Hall Private reception - A private champagne tasting in Reims beautiful town hall
A scenic drive takes you to a triple-domain tasting including G H Martel and a fantastic lunch at the illustrious Château Bligny. After lunch, take advantage of some free time for shopping and exploring the Reims's historic center. The cathedral here is one of Europe ’s most stunning, and it's where the kings of France were crowned for hundreds of years. Later this afternoon, your are invited to the town hall for an impressive private tasting of a half-dozen great champagnes. Enjoy your free time in the heart of Reims this evening.
Day 4
Burgundy - Chablis & Beaune
Highlights:

- Guided tour of the Fontenay Abbey
- Lunch: Picturesque restaurant on the Serein River in Chablis
- Candlelight Dinner at the Caves de l'Abbaye de Maizières in Beaune
Want to taste some of the best Chardonnays in the world? There are four different classifications of Chablis: Grand Cru, Premier Cru, Chablis, and Petit Chablis, and today you'll taste them all. Thanks to the unique soils and climate in Chablis, the chardonnay grape expresses incredible power and mineral quality here. Enjoy a warm welcome from our friends at Domaine Chatelain, then continue tasting and comparing different great Chablis over lunch. The 12th century Abbaye de Fontenay is one of the oldest abbeys in Europe, and you'll enjoy a private guided tour of it on the way to your 4-star accommodation in Beaune. This evening you'll be treated to an exceptional dinner at the Caves de l’Abbaye de Maizières.
Day 5
Burgundy - Côte de Beaune

- Lunch: Gérard Fagnoni, owner of the 9th – 17th century Château de Santenay, hosts you in the Salles des Gardes of his castle
- Guided Tour of the Hospices de Beaune
Today you are in the vineyards of Pommard, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie… Your first tasting is as a welcome guest of Patrick Javillier, tasting his elegant wines at his domain in Meursault. Then you're off to Santenay for an unforgettable feast with Gérard Fagnoni of Château Philippe le Hardi. This chateau was the residence of Phillippe le Hardi, the last Duke of Burgundy. At the time, the Duke of Burgundy was more powerful than the king of France. Later, you are in the stunning courtyard of the beautiful 15th century Hospices de Beaune. Built in 1453, this historic hospital owns some of the most coveted vineyards in Burgundy. Every November it's home to the world’s most famous wine auction. We'll suggest local favorite restaurants for your free evening in Beaune.
Day 6
Burgundy - Côte de Nuits
Highlights:
- Burgundy Wine Tours: Château du Clos de Vougeot, Domaine Machard de Gramont in Nuit-Saint-Georges, Domaine Seguin in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Richard Manière in Vosne-Romanée
- Lunch: Typical Burgundian restaurant at the foot of Corton’s famous vineyards
- Dinner: A grand finale Michelin-starred celebration in Beaune
Explore the Côtes de Nuits, north of Beaune today. Discover the famous terroir and vineyards of Romanée Conti, Romanée St. Vivant, and La Tache. Later this morning, visit Château du Clos de Vougeot and enjoy a guided tasting at Domaine Machard de Gramont near Nuit-St-Georges. This afternoon you are back to the vineyards tasting wines in Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée. Dinner together this evening is at an elegant Michelin-starred restaurant.
Day 7
Paris - Au Revoir
Your wine tour ends today after breakfast with a complimentary shuttle to Paris for those of you returning to the capital. Whatever your plans may be, enjoy and Bon voyage!
